GIA Gem Project Site

The GIA (Gemological Institute of America) has recently launched the Gem Project, an free web site for colored gemstone information.

The site's data is compiled from gems in the Edward J. Gübelin collection of stones which was acquired by the GIA in 2005.  This site includes photos, descriptions and gemological properties for each sample.  Here is a link to the GIA site - check it out, it's full of good info.
